Until now, installed pipelines could only be inspected qualitatively. With the pipe inspection system from MSS GmbH, it is possible to scan the pipe either separately or during TV inspection. The diameter of a pipe can be measured cost-effectively by a robust mechanical scanning process.

The main areas of application are:
• Caliber determination for remedial measures
• Quality assurance after remedial measures
• Deformation measurement for quality assurance

The following photo shows the diagram of a corrosion test in an approx. 2.3m long pipe section. The interior surface was tested for corrosion inside the pipe. The approx. 30cm long exceedance of the threshold value as well as two peaks indicate corrosion / rust.
