CORROPIPE® grey – Mineral coating system for steel, concrete and all mineral surfaces

Corrosion is a natural process, which converts a refined metal to a more chemically-stable form, such as its oxide, hydroxide, or sulfide. It is the gradual destruction of materials (usually metals) by chemical and/or electrochemical reaction with their environment.

Long-lasting and effective corrosion protection is an essential element in the preservation and maintenance of steel and concrete surfaces. MSS GmbH offers with CORROPIPE® grey a practicable, robust and economical protection coating against corrosion especially in the steel, concrete and offshore industry. The combination of selected natural minerals plus high-grade reactive fluid produces the ready-to-use mixture.

MSS GmbH offers with CORROPIPE® grey, a practicable, robust and economical corrosion protection coating for various surfaces and applications. The combination of selected natural minerals plus a high-grade reactive fluid produces the ready-to-use mixture CORROPIPE® grey.

CORROPIPE® CEM 40 gray is especially used on rusty steel surfaces where no special substrate preparation is required. A degree of purity according to ISO 8501-1 Sa1 is sufficient for the application. At the same time, the coating can also be applied to concrete and all load-bearing mineral substrates.

Outstanding product properties

  • very good application on stable, rusty steel & all mineral surfaces
  • no rust infi ltration of the coating
  • high-alkaline medium ensures active long-term corrosion protection
  • temperature stability of -40°C to +180°C in the humid environment
  • high resistance to acids and bases from pH 3,5 to pH 14
  • high adhesion force to steel that does not diminish even with multiple load changes
  • the expansion coeffi cient of the material is the same as that of steel
  • vapour permeability
  • resistant against demineralised water
  • neutral regarding drinking water
  • extremely low shrinkage of the material
  • flame-retardant, high level of fire protection
  • environmentally-friendly, solvent-free, low-pollution, not a hazardous material
